About the position

The Customer Service Associate role is focused on delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while providing efficient checkout service. This position involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws. The associate will also assist in store operations, including inventory management and maintaining store appearance, while participating in training and personal development activities.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Provides friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items.
• Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos.
• Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers to customers.
• Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
