About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while providing efficient checkout service. This part-time role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws. The associate will also assist in store operations, including inventory management and maintaining store appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Provides fast and efficient service to customers.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes transactions including voids and returns.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Checks in and prices merchandise as required.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and resets as directed.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and monitors web pick-up orders.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
