About the position
The Customer Service Associate role is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences in a retail environment. The associate will engage with customers, assist with their needs, and ensure efficient service at the checkout. This role also involves maintaining store operations, merchandising, and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Shares customer service best practices with team members.
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items.
- Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
- Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
- Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos.
- Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers.
- Maintains a clean and orderly store appearance.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens.
