About the position

The Customer Service Associate role is a temporary part-time position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences at Walgreens. The associate will engage with customers, assist with their needs, and ensure efficient service at the checkout. This role also involves maintaining store operations, including inventory management and compliance with regulations, while fostering a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Register customer purchases on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up or companion items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Check in and price merchandise as required by the store manager.
• Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain promotional displays and complete resets as directed.
• Assist with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos.
• Monitor and fill web pick-up orders for customers.
• Assist with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
