About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while providing efficient checkout service. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws. The associate will also assist in maintaining store appearance and inventory management, while participating in training and personal development activities.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items.
• Processes customer purchases, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and keeps records.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and product placement as per policies.
• Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service.
• Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers.
• Assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attends training and completes required PPLs.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
