About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while performing various operational tasks. This temporary part-time role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store appearance and inventory. The associate will also assist in training and personal development as required.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes transactions including voids, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and completes resets as directed.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
