About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while efficiently handling sales transactions. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. The associate will also assist in maintaining store appearance and inventory management, contributing to a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Provides customers with friendly, fast, and efficient service.
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items.
  • Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains displays and completes resets as directed.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service.
  • Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers.
  • Assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
