About the position

The Customer Service Associate role is focused on delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience in a retail environment. This position involves engaging with customers, providing efficient checkout service, and assisting with product inquiries. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining store operations, including inventory management and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Register customer purchases on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and take inventory as needed.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain promotional displays and complete resets as directed.
• Assist with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
• Monitor web pick-up orders and assist customers with their orders.
• Maintain a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
