About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a part-time position focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. The associate will engage with customers, handle transactions, and assist with various store operations while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Provides fast and efficient service to customers.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes transactions including voids, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Checks in and prices merchandise as required.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and resets as directed.
  • Assists with food item separation and product placement as specified.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and monitors web pick-up orders.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
