About the position

As a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with customers and patients, providing assistance with products and services, and resolving any issues they may encounter. You will be expected to model and share customer service best practices with your team members, ensuring that every interaction is characterized by courtesy, friendliness, and efficiency. This position requires you to register sales on the assigned cash register, process transactions, and handle returns and exchanges as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized store environment, which includes keeping counters and shelves merchandised and assisting with inventory management. In addition to customer service duties, you will assist in various operational tasks such as checking in merchandise, constructing displays, and ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. You will also provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services and promotional photo products. This role requires a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the store and its customers. Training and personal development are also key components of this position, as you will be expected to attend training sessions and complete any required personal performance logs (PPLs).

  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and seasonal merchandise.
  • Assists with food item separation and product placement as per policies.
  • Monitors web pick-up orders and fills them as needed.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
