About the position

The Customer Service Associate role is a temporary part-time position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences at Walgreens. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout service while maintaining store operations and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Register customer purchases on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and take inventory as needed.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assist with food item separation and product placement as per policies.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
• Monitor web pick-up orders and deliver them to customers as they arrive.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly store appearance.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
