About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout services. This role also involves maintaining store operations, including inventory management and compliance with regulations, while fostering a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Register customer purchases on the cash register and provide efficient checkout service.
  • Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up or companion items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and assist with inventory management.
  • Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Construct and maintain promotional displays and complete resets as directed.
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
  • Monitor web pick-up orders and assist customers with their orders.
  • Assist with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
