About the position

The Customer Service Associate position at Walgreens is a temporary role focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The associate will engage with customers, handle transactions, and maintain store operations while adhering to company policies and procedures. This role may involve flexible hours and can be either full or part-time, lasting more than six months.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
• Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and assists with web pick-up responsibilities.
• Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attends training and completes required personal development tasks.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
