About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout service while maintaining store operations and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash register and process transactions efficiently.
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and assist with inventory management.
  • Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Construct and maintain displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
  • Assume web pick-up responsibilities and monitor orders in Picture Care Plus.
  • Assist with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store appearance.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
