About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout services while maintaining store operations and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up options to customers.
  • Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assists with web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
