About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Walgreens is a temporary position focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. The associate will engage with customers, assist with product inquiries, and ensure efficient checkout service while adhering to company policies and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes transactions including voids, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and takes inventory as needed.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and assists with product placement.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and monitors web pick-up orders.
  • Assists with store maintenance to ensure a neat and orderly appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
