About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while providing efficient checkout service. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws. The associate will also assist in store operations, including inventory management and maintaining store appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes transactions including voids and refunds.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and assists with stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and monitors web pick-up orders.
  • Assists with store maintenance and ensures a neat store appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
