About the position

The Shop Sales Agent plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience at Greyhound terminals. This position involves assisting customers with various needs, managing cash transactions, and ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the terminal and buses. The agent is responsible for providing information, handling baggage, and supporting overall operations within the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Directing customers throughout their time at the shop, assisting with correct loading areas and trip connections.
  • Providing schedule, routing, transfer, and current fare information to customers.
  • Updating travel documents, schedule monitors, information boards, and making PA system announcements.
  • Running ticket transactions with customers and providing baggage support, including service calls and phone sales.
  • Handling shipping duties, including calculating shipping costs, forwarding/receiving shipments, and tracking packages/baggage.
  • Assisting with required shop reporting and documentation, including bus bills, inventory, End-of-Shift reports, and bus servicing records.
  • Scheduling and coordinating bus fuelings, cleanings, and fuel and lavatory dumps.
  • Monitoring overall shop presentation, including cleanliness and lost and found items.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of customer service experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience
  • Ability to handle packages and bags weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Good problem solving and decision-making ability
  • Strong communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish fluency a plus
