About the position

The Customer Service Associate Trainee position at Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey is a part-time role focused on providing excellent customer service in a retail environment. The associate will be responsible for processing transactions, engaging with customers, and maintaining store organization and cleanliness. This role also includes cross-training in various functions to support employee growth and company productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.
  • Successfully process register transactions and handle money.
  • Achieve a 40% Round-Up transaction average every month.
  • Greet every customer within 5 feet and engage them effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized store environment.
  • Train to complete opening and closing procedures as necessary.
  • Stock and maintain the sales floor with newly processed merchandise.
  • Recover sales floor and dressing rooms to maintain standards.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods as needed.
  • Utilize systems including phones and paging systems for announcements.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the store in a clean manner.
  • Wear company-issued uniform and maintain a neat personal appearance.
