About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers, providing efficient checkout service, and assisting with product inquiries. This role involves operating cash registers, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Implements customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and processes transactions including voids, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and takes inventory as needed.
  • Checks in and prices merchandise as directed by management.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and completes resets as directed.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assists with web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay with a starting rate of $15 and a maximum rate of $17.50
