About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Ramey King Insurance is responsible for providing exceptional service to current policyholders, addressing their inquiries, resolving billing issues, and making policy suggestions. This entry-level role involves generating policy quotes, advising clients on coverage, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate changes to consumer policies based on the information provided
• Answer incoming call center questions about insurance policies and coverage issues
• Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered
• Confirm client insurance coverage and provide evidence of insurance papers to policyholders
• Stay up-to-date on new marketing efforts to answer insurance product inquiries
• Quote, issue, and service new and renewal insurance policies for various types of coverage
• Assist producers with quoting and servicing existing clients and potential new clients
• Advise clients of proper coverage and limits
• Answer incoming calls in a timely manner
• Respond to client emails in a timely fashion
• Process payments for clients and handle any billing issues
• Handle cancellation and policy reinstatements
• Document conversations and store documents in the proprietary software system
• Obtain, record, and update account information in the proprietary software system
• Listen to client issues and work with them to find solutions
• Maintain a professional attitude with a positive tone with clients
• Handle and disperse incoming postal mail
• Keep the front desk and door location clean and tidy

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience required
• Strong communication skills and active listening skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic knowledge of insurance policy procedures and schedules preferred
• Current property casualty license in the state of Texas for at least 2 years
