About the position

The Customer Service Associate at NTT DATA Inc. is responsible for providing exceptional front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers. This role requires effective communication and a solid understanding of the insurance industry, particularly life insurance and annuity policies. The associate will handle a high volume of calls, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to service standards while working in a flexible environment that may include remote work.

Responsibilities

• Providing front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and striving to meet service standards.
• Fielding between 75 to 100 calls daily.
• Communicating effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers to resolve questions and issues.
• Developing and maintaining a solid working knowledge of the insurance industry and of all products, services, and processes performed by the team.
• Collaborating with management or other team members to proactively address service issues and concerns.

Requirements

• 1 year experience in an office environment.
• 1 year experience using a computer with Microsoft Windows PC applications.
• 6 months of work from home experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous insurance industry experience that required knowledge of life insurance and annuity policies.
• 6+ months of experience in a role that required attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability for your work product.
• 6+ months of experience in a role that required effective oral and written communication in a professional setting.
