About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Crete Carrier Corporation is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service through the timely and accurate processing of orders, effective communication with customers, and coordination of operational duties. This role emphasizes building positive relationships with customers and proactively addressing their needs while managing freight logistics.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Solicits outbound freight to manage network balance while maintaining a high level of service.
• Interacts with customers and addresses any concerns or issues.
• Forecasts potential customer needs and proactively works to address those needs.
• Responds promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
• Processes customer orders with required information to properly pickup and deliver goods.
• Schedules all loading and unloading appointments.
• Tracks all shipments while under dispatch from pickup to delivery.
• Travels as needed.
• Receives and carries out instructions.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; or three to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Performs work requiring advanced knowledge while consistently exercising discretion and judgment.
• Communicates effectively.
• Solves problems and makes decisions independently.
• Demonstrates effective leadership.
• Manages multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Uses computers and software programs proficiently.
• Exhibits ability to read, write, talk and hear; add, subtract, multiply and divide; and lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. as required.
