About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers, providing efficient checkout service, and assisting with product inquiries. This role involves operating cash registers, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws. The associate will also participate in training and personal development to enhance their skills and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Register customer purchases on assigned cash register and process transactions efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and assist with inventory management.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Construct and maintain promotional displays and assist with product placement as specified by policies.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services and promotional photo products.
• Monitor web pick-up orders and deliver them to customers as they arrive at the store.
• Assist with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store appearance.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
