Responsibilities

  • Appropriately responds to requests from patients and their representatives in a customer-focused manner.
  • Assists with securing transportation for patients to and from the hospital.
  • Assists with securing transportation for patients within the hospital, and transports patients to desired area by wheelchair.
  • Attends any meetings required to ensure job performance.
  • Contacts valet service upon requests from patients and their representatives.
  • Greets all incoming and outgoing patients and customers in a friendly and compassionate manner.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and their representatives.
  • Notifies supervisor of any issues related to providing optimal customer service.
  • Provides assistance to patients and their representatives in entering and exiting the hospital and escorts to destination.
  • Provides directions in a customer-focused and compassionate manner.
  • Retrieves, cleans and stores transportation equipment at entrance to ensure availability for patients and their representatives.
  • Seeks information from departments to ensure appropriate information is provided to the patient and their representative.
  • Answers telephone efficiently and courteously documenting/relaying messages to staff, patients and families.
  • Uses computer efficiently to check in patients to proper area.
  • Serves as a liaison between Cath lab, and other hospital departments, patients, visitors and families.
  • Assists in other access areas when needed, including the Surgical Waiting area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
