About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. This part-time role involves engaging with customers, providing efficient checkout service, and resolving customer issues to ensure satisfaction. The associate will also assist with store operations, including inventory management and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
• Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Checks in and prices merchandise as required by management.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and seasonal merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and product placement as per policies.
• Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos.
• Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers.
• Maintains a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
