About the position

The Customer Service Associate role at Central Valley Builders Supply involves establishing and maintaining customer relationships by providing product solutions and meeting sales targets. This position is essential for assisting customers at the Pro Sales/POS counter, processing transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Establish customer relationships by assisting customers with product solutions and meeting sales targets.
• Assist customers and process transactions at the Pro Sales/POS counter.
• Accurately process sales orders, enter quotes, and complete bids.
• Ask questions to understand customer needs and recommend product solutions.
• Check prices and stock availability, and provide quote information as requested.
• Ensure that delivery dates are realistic and met by Operations.
• Support pricing as determined by customer type.
• Complete special orders, arrange shipping, and follow up to confirm receipt of product.
• Locate products for customers and resolve customer service issues.
• Stock shelves and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate low or out of stock materials to Merchandising for replenishment.
• Maintain current knowledge of company products and their locations in the store/yard.
• Observe store areas for safety, potential theft, and security risks.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English/Spanish required
• 1-year of customer service experience required
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

• 1-year of Agriculture experience preferred
• Retail experience helpful
