About the position

As a Customer Service & Sales Associate at Hertz, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients at the rental counter. This role involves processing rentals, consulting with customers on their needs, and ensuring a positive rental experience. You will represent the Hertz brand and contribute to a team-oriented environment while aiming to exceed sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide world class customer service by managing the rental process in compliance with Hertz's policies and procedures.
  • Welcome each customer with a smile and represent Hertz professionally.
  • Ensure every customer receives a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Take ownership of each customer's service experience by resolving issues promptly.
  • Contribute to a teamwork environment and understand your role in the company's success.
  • Utilize company-approved sales techniques to determine customer wants and needs.
  • Offer optional products to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare all rental and return documents accurately and completely.
  • Assist customers with directions, maps, and local area information.
  • Review rental parameters with customers to ensure understanding of rates and service charges.
  • Ensure accuracy of return date and time on rental agreements.
  • Review all charges at the time of vehicle return.
  • Answer phones to assist customers in a friendly manner.
  • Coordinate customers within the queue to minimize wait times.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency, especially in English.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Proficient computer skills, including typing and navigating multiple systems.
  • Ability to multi-task while engaging with customers in person or over the phone.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in additional languages is encouraged.
  • Experience in a sales role is a plus.
