About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers, providing efficient checkout service, and assisting with product inquiries. This role involves operational tasks such as managing sales transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and product placement as per policies.
• Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service.
• Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers.
• Assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
