About the position
The position at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) involves working at retail stations selling gasoline and convenience products. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service, requiring individuals who are self-motivated and dependable. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, adhere to safety guidelines, and provide exceptional service to customers while managing various operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines as well as CSI's policies and procedures.
- Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
- Ensure food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
- Conduct all point-of-sale activities accurately and safely while adhering to CSI guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain cash drawer to be at or below maximum level and perform cashier reconciliation at each end of shift.
- Perform consistent station cleaning of indoor and outdoor facilities including restrooms and pumps.
- Prepare food and hot beverage products, managing foodservice and beverages effectively.
- Actively promote store specials and other marketing programs.
- Observe local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks with gasoline or diesel fuel.
Requirements
- Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgement.
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
- Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law.
