About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging with customers, providing efficient checkout service, and assisting with product inquiries. This role involves operating the cash register, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash register and process transactions efficiently.
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, and maintain inventory records.
  • Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Construct and maintain promotional displays and assist with product placement.
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
  • Assume web pick-up responsibilities and monitor orders in Picture Care Plus.
  • Assist with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store appearance.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
