About the position

As a Customer Service & Sales Associate at Hertz, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while processing rental transactions. This role involves consulting with customers to determine their rental needs, offering insurance and ancillary benefits, and ensuring a positive rental experience. Responsibilities

  • Provide world class customer service by managing the rental process in compliance with Hertz's policies and procedures.
  • Welcome each customer with a smile and represent Hertz professionally.
  • Ensure a clean and safe vehicle is provided to every customer.
  • Take ownership of each customer's service experience and resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to a teamwork environment and understand your role in the company's success.
  • Utilize sales techniques to determine customer wants and needs and offer optional products.
  • Prepare all rental and return documents accurately and completely.
  • Assist customers with directions, maps, and local area information.
  • Review rental parameters with customers to ensure understanding of rates and service charges.
  • Ensure accuracy of return date and time on rental agreements.
  • Answer phones to assist customers in a friendly and prompt manner.
  • Coordinate customers within the queue to minimize wait times.

Requirements

  • Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated to achieve and exceed targeted goals.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple computer systems while engaging with customers.
  • Proficiency in English with good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing environment.
