About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by providing courteous and efficient service at the cash register, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping environment. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and maintaining store operations, including inventory management and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
• Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Checks in and prices merchandise as required by management.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and resets as directed.
• Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and monitors web pick-up orders.
• Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
