About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Great Harvest Bakery & Café is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while promoting and selling bakery products. This role emphasizes creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the café. The associate will engage with customers, handle transactions, and assist in various tasks to support the bakery's operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a smile and urgency, ensuring they are greeted within three seconds of entering the store.
• Maintain cleanliness in customer, retail, and sales areas.
• Implement food safety and handling procedures as per Idaho food code.
• Complete assigned shift tasks and daily cleaning lists according to bakery procedures.
• Handle point of sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Develop product knowledge to answer customer inquiries effectively.
• Take special orders and ensure they are organized and filed appropriately.
• Assist with catering orders and special events as needed.
• Stock customer service supplies and maintain FIFO inventory practices.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Stable work history required.
• Dependable and able to work all scheduled shifts.
• Exhibit high standards of personal and facility cleanliness.
• Ability to perform strenuous tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to remain standing for up to 8 hours.
• Positive attitude and ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers.
