About the position

The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience by providing courteous and efficient service at the checkout and throughout the store. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws while maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides efficient checkout service.
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Shares customer service best practices with team members.
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items to customers.
  • Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
  • Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area and assists with web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Ensures a clean and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
