About the position
The Customer Service Associate at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience through efficient service at the checkout and throughout the store. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies while maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
- Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register and processes transactions efficiently.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion items to customers.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and takes inventory as needed.
- Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Constructs and maintains promotional displays and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services.
- Monitors web pick-up orders and delivers them to customers as they arrive.
- Assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly appearance.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Nice-to-haves
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
