About the position

As a Customer Service & Sales Associate at Hertz, you will be responsible for interacting with customers at the rental counter, processing their rentals, and providing consultation on rental options, including insurance and ancillary benefits. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service and building brand loyalty while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide world class customer service by managing the rental process in compliance with Hertz's policies and procedures.
  • Welcome each customer with a smile and represent Hertz professionally.
  • Ensure every customer receives a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Take ownership of each customer's service experience and resolve issues promptly.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration within the team.
  • Utilize company-approved sales techniques to determine customer needs.
  • Offer optional products to meet customer wants and needs.
  • Prepare all rental and return documents accurately and completely.
  • Assist customers with directions, maps, and local area information.
  • Review rental parameters with customers to ensure understanding of rates and service charges.
  • Ensure accuracy of return date and time on rental agreements.
  • Review all charges at the time of vehicle return.
  • Answer phones to assist customers in a friendly manner.
  • Coordinate customers within the queue to minimize wait times.

Requirements

  • Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated to achieve and exceed targeted goals.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and navigating multiple systems.
  • Ability to multi-task while engaging with customers in person or over the phone.
  • Proficiency in English with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing environment.
