About the position

We are looking for a motivated and friendly Customer Service/Cashier to join our team at our grocery store. This role is essential in providing top-notch service to our clients, enhancing their shopping experience through effective communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, and exchanges in a professional and helpful manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk and cashier area.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks, including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and providing general office support as needed.
• Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded in our system.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, or a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Ability to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer concerns.
• Experience with office software or POS systems is a bonus.
