About the position

The Customer Service Consultant at First Supply - Waterworks is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to waterworks products, resolving customer issues, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. This role requires strong communication skills, technical product knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with customers while promoting products and services.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer calls and emails in a professional manner from customers placing orders or requesting information on technical specifications, product pricing or availability of product.
• Resolve customer complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise or adjusting bills, or refer the call to the individual who can resolve the complaint.
• Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items.
• Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates, expected date of delivery, etc. and provide to customers.
• Accurately enter sales orders from customers into the business system.
• Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
• Attend sales and product review meetings.
• Keep records as required.
• Stay abreast of product developments, changes in local codes and consumer preferences.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Department Manager.

Requirements

• Three years of related experience or equivalent training in trade fields.
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
• Ability to assess customer needs and provide customer satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively with customers by telephone and in person.
• Ability to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to provide customer satisfaction while considering relative costs and benefits.
