About the position

The Customer Service Coordinator I at Helen of Troy plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by efficiently processing orders and maintaining communication with various departments. This position is integral to fulfilling sales business needs while adhering to customer expectations, making it essential for the smooth operation of the customer service department.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, prepare, and process manual, EDI, and internet orders.
  • Ensure customers' expectations are met and enforced by the Warehouse, Accounts Receivable, EDI, and Marketing Departments.
  • Fulfill sales business needs by accurately processing sales orders in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Process EDI and non-EDI sales and sample orders for Tier 3 customers.
  • Maintain basic customer records, including shipping addresses and item cross references.
  • Communicate order information to customers and/or Sales Representatives via phone calls, e-mails, TEAMS, and ticketing systems.
  • Supervise sales orders to ensure they are processed to the warehouse in the specified timeframe.
  • Track shipments to ensure timely delivery by carriers and update trackers as required.
  • Answer basic internal and external inquiries related to the order to cash cycle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Proven experience in filing, data entry, document control, faxing, and copying.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Acrobat, Java, and WinZip.
  • Warehouse knowledge including order picking, shipping/receiving, bar code scanning, Bill of Lading, invoicing, and inventory.
  • Accounts Receivable knowledge including invoicing, collections, forecasting, item master, managerial and financial reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a customer service role within a retail or consumer products environment.
  • Familiarity with EDI systems and processes.
