About The Position

The position involves preparing donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process at CSL Plasma. The role requires monitoring the donor and the pheresis process, responding to alarms, and ensuring accurate data recording. The individual will maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols while promoting safety in all actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responding to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reactions the donor may have during or after the process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor using PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as per SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies are available.
• Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
