As a Customer Service Engineer II, you will play a vital role in our mission by installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying automation equipment at customer sites. In this on-site role at our Lenexa, KS MegaLab, you will work a shift from Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM. Your responsibilities will include providing service and preventative maintenance on Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics automation systems, troubleshooting system failures, and delivering timely repairs. You will also be responsible for training operators to ensure optimal system performance, managing company assets, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and peers. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service and the ability to perform administrative duties related to your work. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation tracking within a fast-paced environment, and will be expected to interface regularly with our technical support center to provide the highest level of customer care. This role may require travel to other customer locations as needed, and you will be expected to work on-call, nights, and weekends if necessary. Responsibilities

  • Install, service, maintain, and modify automation equipment at customer sites.
  • Provide service, preventative maintenance, modifications, and installations on Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics automation systems with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot system failures and provide on-site customer repairs, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Train operators to ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
  • Manage company assets including cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
  • Establish and foster positive business relationships with customers and peers.
  • Perform administrative duties including recording time worked, training, and expense reports.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to customers and management regarding equipment repair status.
  • Interface regularly with the technical support center to ensure high levels of customer care.
  • Perform other service work as needed in support of the broader region and customer base.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or similar engineering program preferred.
  • Generally, 8+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience servicing factory automation systems and/or robotic systems preferred.
  • Experience in diagnostics laboratories and relative instruments is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team setting.
  • Proven track record of strong customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with customers, peers, and internal support center employees in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to utilize a computer and computer-based tools for reports, emails, and general communication.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for training.
  • Willingness and ability to work different shifts, on-call, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement.
  • Strong competency in instrument systems technology including mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology.
