About the position

The Equipment / Customer Service Technician Level I role at Eco-Rental Solutions involves performing equipment testing, maintaining accurate documentation, and developing strong customer relationships to maximize sales potential. The technician will proactively address customer complaints and assist with shipping and receiving related to inventory and customer orders, ensuring effective management of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment testing per specific test procedures using measuring instruments and computer test programs.
  • Document test results accurately and completely.
  • Read and interpret specific test procedures to properly perform and document test results.
  • Develop maximum sales potential from assigned customers through effective customer service techniques.
  • Apply knowledge of company products/services to process customer information and respond to inquiries and complaints diplomatically.
  • Build and maintain quality relations with assigned customers to increase sales volume consistently.
  • Contact customers and prospects via telephone and email to meet and surpass sales goals.
  • Maintain organized files on all assigned customers.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of customer orders and internal inventory.
  • Track and expedite late orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of company products and services to identify leads.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations to enhance the company's image.
  • Log all customer communication accurately in an automated database.
  • Prioritize and resolve issues as they arise, notifying management of potential problems.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction by addressing potential or actual complaints and following up until resolved.
  • Develop and implement special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
