About the position

The Customer Service Leader - Office Assistant at Food Lion is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting the Customer Service Manager in maintaining operational standards. This role focuses on creating a positive shopping experience for customers and ensuring that all front-end office functions are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service to customers.
  • Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
  • Complete store office functions accurately and on time using accounting packets.
  • Maintain knowledge of office procedures including cash reports and register checkups.
  • Ensure a neat and clean presentation of the work station and front end area.
  • Report any register malfunctions to the Customer Service Manager.
  • Ensure the MVP savings center KIOSK is filled with paper and functioning properly.
  • Perform tasks of sales associate as needed.
  • Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers.
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • 1 year of cash management experience required.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Sales experience.
