About the position

The Customer Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for overseeing all front of store operations at ShopRite, ensuring a smooth and inviting atmosphere for guests. This role involves managing various departments, including cashiers, customer service, and e-commerce, while maintaining high standards through training and effective communication with associates. The CSM reports directly to the Store Manager and Front of Store Supervisor, focusing on customer relations, staff management, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Review weekly front of store schedules to ensure adequate service coverage.
  • Maintain customer relations and address feedback from guests.
  • Achieve 100% participation on AEM and address associate concerns.
  • Review assigned reports including Lanehawk and Budget Reports.
  • Troubleshoot front end and courtesy equipment as needed.
  • Oversee the front end training program for new associates.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness on the front end as a top priority.
  • Determine workforce needs and schedule interviews for hiring.
  • Organize and lead community donation efforts.
  • Send authorization requests for store associate applications.
  • Order uniforms for associates as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and displays for gift cards and promotions.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a supermarket environment.
  • 3 years of retail management experience.
  • Ability to relocate to Vineland, NJ before starting work.
