About the position

The Customer Service Manager at Mackenthun's Fine Foods is responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer service operations, including managing cashiers and courtesy clerks. This part-time position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor employee performance and provide training for cashiers and courtesy clerks.
  • Oversee all customer service operations and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Safeguard product freshness and maintain cleanliness of department equipment.
  • Lead by example and support coworkers in their roles.
  • Manage a large group of employees and assist with customer service issues.
  • Delegate daily tasks and ensure smooth operations of customer service.
  • Assist with cashiering and personal/online shopping orders as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent desired, but not necessary.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Excellent communication skills with employees and supervisors.
  • Positive and friendly attitude, outgoing and dependable.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Desire to learn about Mackenthun's products and services.
  • Previous customer service, cashier, or retail experience is necessary.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred but not required.
