About the position

The Customer Service Manager at Southeastern Grocers is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience while overseeing all functions of the front end. This role ensures compliance with customer service, cash control, labor control, and safety policies, while fostering a positive shopping and working environment. The manager will also focus on developing team members for future advancement and will engage in hiring and training processes. This position requires a balance of physical labor, delegation, team building, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and empower teams to deliver a great shopping experience for customers.
  • Manage the fiscal budget, inventory, shrink, and expenses with integrity and responsibility.
  • Train and coach team members on KPIs, customer service, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee hiring and training execution in the store, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Adhere to food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • 3-6 years of supervisory experience required; 1-5 years preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
  • Proficient with computer applications used in department operations.
  • Strong customer service skills and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain it within 180 days.
