About the position

The Customer Service Operations Lead at Ryder System is responsible for assisting management in leading and supporting clerical staff within the Supply Chain Solutions division. This role involves overseeing office and warehouse functions related to billing, dispatching, client requests, and customer escalations, ensuring that performance goals are met and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in leading and supporting clerical staff.
  • Oversee office and warehouse functions related to billing, dispatching, and client requests.
  • Achieve customer metrics to ensure performance goals are met.
  • Monitor calls and de-escalate as necessary.
  • Maintain paperwork associated with orders and corresponding files.
  • Act as a liaison between operations and customers regarding accounts and credit charges.
  • Coordinate special customer requests with transportation and operations departments.
  • Compile statistical information from manifest data and prepare related reports.
  • Help lead the execution of daily dispatch including planning and monitoring of assigned loads and drivers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years or more of customer service experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
