About the position

The Customer Service/Order Processing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting clients and enhancing the company's brand as a leading provider in the manufacturing industry. This position involves managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and collaborating with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of customer inquiries and requests including product selection, sample and catalog requests, non-stock items, basic returns, price quotes, special pricing, and order status.
  • Handle requests for domestic and international customers.
  • Work closely with the sales team to support customer needs.
  • Assist in organizing freight requirements for international shipments.
  • Provide information regarding products and promotional opportunities to customers.
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email using proper etiquette.
  • Maintain established performance levels set by the company.
  • Build rapport and trust with clients to maximize customer loyalty.
  • Demonstrate competency in products and services offered by the company.
  • Continue to improve product knowledge and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in customer service or account management.
  • Experience with order entry, processing, and management.
  • Prior experience using ERP software is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry experience is preferred but not required.
