About the position

The Customer Service Product Analyst at Steelcase is responsible for determining the feasibility, pricing, and specifications for non-standard product requests. This role aims to achieve profitability and competitiveness while proposing alternative product solutions to meet customer needs. The analyst will manage customer requests for quotes, assess feasibility with manufacturing, prepare formal quotes, and collaborate with various teams to win bids and fulfill customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate activities associated with customer requests for quotes.
  • Facilitate discussions to uncover customer business needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Assess the feasibility of new requests and consult with manufacturing regarding capabilities and profitability.
  • Prepare formal quotes and related documents to assist the sales force in influencing customer purchases.
  • Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, product development, field sales, dealers, and customers to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience or internship level experience in a related field.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Above average math skills and mechanical understanding.

  • Background in quoting or proposal review.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
